More Herbal Remedies for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)
Herbal Remedies:
More and more people who suffer from chronic fatigue syndrome are turning to alternative types of therapy. Some of the simplest remedies to try are herbal supplements. Before embarking on a non-traditional or holistic therapy for CFS, seek the advice of your physician.
If you elect to try different forms of therapy, your physician may know of a healer in the community that specializes herbs and other forms of holistic medicine. In some European nations, these healers are known as osteopaths. He/she or even your physician may also be able to help you understand some of the materials and information you come across.
If you have health insurance, their medical management staff may also have done some research on these topics, or they may have osteopaths enrolled as providers. Always take the time to do quality research. While the internet is an incredible tool for finding all kinds of information, some sites are more accurate than others. Your local library may also have some good books and magazines to start with. Information is power, and the more you are armed with, the better.
Since the immune system seems to be one of the most targeted by CFS , this article will discuss three of the best herbs for encouraging the immune system to kick into gear. These three herbal supplements (Echinacea, goldenseal, and licorice root) are also useful in fighting viral infections. People who suffer from chronic fatigue syndrome need to do everything they can to avoid sickness. A respiratory infection or stomach disorder can lead to an even more depleted level of energy.
Echinacea is especially effective when an infection is present. It helps to protect the body's cells by keeping bacteria, viruses and other pathogens out. Many studies have shown that Echinacea is often very successful at strengthening a weakened immune system, as well as warding off the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). It has been known to bring relief to many patients. The recommended dose of this herb is 15 to 20 drops dissolved in liquid. This should be taken three times a day for a period of two days. To get the required amount another appropriate dosage would be 300 to 325 milligrams three times a day.
Goldenseal and Echinacea are sometimes sold together and other times as separate herbs. When goldenseal is sold by itself, be sure to select one that is alcohol free. Goldenseal is extremely effective when it comes to controlling a viral infection. When a person first senses that they are coming down with a sore throat they should consume a few drops of goldenseal. Drop it into your mouth and hold it there for a moment before swallowing. Goldenseal is meant for specific health problem, and therefore, not meant to be taken on a constant basis. Goldenseal should not be taken more than one week at a time. Pregnant or nursing women should avoid using the herb goldenseal, as should those who have a history of glaucoma, heart disease or diabetes. If a person who has diabetes or heart problems does decided to use this herb to improve their health, it should always be done under a doctor's close supervision.
Licorice (or licorice root) is not the same as the candy licorice. The herb licorice root helps to support the proper functioning of the endocrine system. Much like goldenseal, this herb is very potent. If used daily it should be taken no more than seven days at a time. Those with high blood pressure should stay away from it entirely. If a doctor or an alternative healthcare practitioner recommends licorice root it will also be necessary to consume a variety of foods that are rich in potassium.
Herbal supplements are just one of the many alternative medicines that a patient suffering from CFS can investigate. With the help of a physician or doctor of osteopathy, and some research, the possibilities are almost limitless. Three herbs to consider at the outset are Echinacea, Goldenseal, and Licorice Root, as all three enhance immune system function.

Natural and Home Remedies for Asthma
Home Remedies:
Asthma is an ancient Greek word meaning "panting or shortdrawn breath". It is in allergic reaction due to one or more allergens. It is the most troublesome of respiratory diseases. The asthma patient gets frequent attacks of breathlessness, in between which, he is completely normal.
One of the most popular natural remedies is homeopathy. This can be given over many years without any fear of having any harmful reactions. There are also a number of herbs that can be used as an alternative asthma treatment. However, their ability will be proportionate to the capability of the herbalist who specializes in herbal medicines.
Figs (Anjeer) dry: Dry figs help clear mucus from bronchial tubes and are therefore a valuable food remedy for asthma. Phlegmatic cases of cough and asthma can be treated with success. It gives comfort to the patient by draining off the phlegm. Three or four dry figs should be cleaned thoroughly with warm water and soaked overnight. They should be taken during morning time in an empty stomach, along with the water in which they are soaked. This treatment may be continued for about two months.
In 1 cup of water soak 1 tspn of Fenugreek seeds overnight. Strain. Add 1 tspn of Ginger juice and 1 tspn of honey to this. This should be taken morning and evening.
In china a powerful mixture of herbs called Shuan Huang Lian is being used in
hospitals to treat respiratory illness, very important to use this herb in asthma and acute bronchitis.
The bark and leaves of the ginkgo tree are effective in the treatment of allergic sneezing and snuffling, and is also used in treatments for asthma. Many asthma attacks are caused by the same allergic reactions that trigger hay fever.
Licorice root tea Make a tea by putting teaspoon in a cup of hot water and steep for 10 minutes; strain. Drink one or two cups daily to relieve asthma symptoms. You can also find tea bags at many grocery or health food stores
Indian gooseberry has also proved valuable in asthma. Five grams of gooseberry mixed with one tablespoon of honey forms an effective medicinal tonic for the treatment of this disease.
Gur mixed with equal quantity of mustard oil taken for 21 days gives almost permanent relief.
Adding fresh fruits and vegetables to the diet and decreasing both high-fat and high-sugar items also may be part of a process of natural asthma remedies. Controlling highly processed and chemical-laden foods may eliminate any simultaneously occurring food allergies that may be increasing the severity of your asthma conditions. Avoid foods that are made with white flour and try to choose whole grain alternatives. Whole-wheat pastas, breads and even dinner rolls are a wonderful alternative to the highly processed white breads usually consumed in Western diets.

Some Natural Allergy Remedies
Natural Remedies:
Approximately one out of every ten Americans suffers from allergies of some type. Allergies are the body's natural reaction to any foreign substance. When the body encounters one of these substances, it produces many different substances, including histamines. Once released into the body, these cause tissue swellings called allergies. Allergies can affect many different parts of the body including the lungs, skins, nasal passages, sinuses, and stomach. Symptoms of an allergic reaction can include intestinal pain, bloating, mood swings, exhaustion, throat swelling, difficulty breathing, increased heart rate, swelling or bloating of the skin, watery eyes, itchy nose, and sneezing. There are many things that cause allergies including pollen, mold, flowers, dust mites, grass, and spores. Additionally, food and chemicals can be an allergy trigger. The medical community has come up with all sorts of ways to treat allergies, but many people shy away from modern day medicine because of the extensive side effects associated with some of the treatments. It is often the case that the treatment is worse than the cure.
One natural allergy remedy is butterbur. Butterbur is a plant that grows in marshy areas and has three foot leaves. They can be found across Europe, in Asia, and in North America. It is a gentle, natural remedy that is free of antihistamines for those who wish to treat hay fever. It has been used for centuries to treat all sorts of ailments, but it has been found most effective at treating allergy style symptoms. It can also help reduce the muscle spasms associated with allergies. Butterbur is typically taken in tablet form, as the plants themselves can be toxic if not properly processed. The roots are dried, beaten to powder, and combined with other natural ingredients to create the tablet. It is best to take one tablet three times a day, but consult the packaging for more specific instructions.
Another natural allergy remedy is locally grown honey. This product can assist with hay fever and other pollen allergic reactions. It is important to start with small amounts. Approximately a teaspoon per day should help. You must first ensure the honey agrees with your body. If it doesn't, discontinue use immediately. If you notice discomfort in the gastrointestinal area, it is important not to use it again. The goal is to work up to several teaspoons per day to ward off hay fever. If you decide to use honey, be sure to do several things first. Talk to your doctor before you try any natural remedies. Remember that you might have a bad reaction to the honey. Not every treatment works for every person. You should only purchase non-pasteurized honey. The honey should be purchased from a local beekeeper or at a local farmer's market to ensure the freshest quality available is consumed. Try to make sure the honey was collected at the same time of year that you suffer from allergies. This will increase the effectiveness of this cure. To make sure you get the best results possible, use the honey one month before your typical allergy season. Using it in the midst of your difficult season won't be enough. Also, do not heat the honey. It decreases its natural healing properties. One last note, begin with a small amount and increase gradually.
Another natural allergy remedy is green tea. People who regularly consume green tea have noticed that they suffer less from sneezing, coughing, and watery eyes. Green tea is best consumed in purer forms. Don't pollute it with additives like honey, and don't use chemically processed tea either. It is important that you consume at least one cup per day. You should try to work your way up to three cups per day. It does not matter if the tea is consumed hot or cold.
An additional natural allergy remedy is Echinacea. This herb has been known to treat all sorts of problems, including hay fever. It aids in the production of interferon, which assists with decreasing the swelling in tissues, which, in turn, helps stop the runny nose and watery eyes associated with allergies.
One final natural allergy remedy is vitamin C. You become extremely susceptible to allergens if your diet does not contain enough of this essential vitamin. Vitamin C detoxifies foreign substances entering the body and strengthens your cells. Dosages can be up to one thousand milligrams per day.

GERD Remedy- Curing Gastroesophageal Reflux Permanently with Natural Remedies
Natural Remedies:
In 90% of cases, curing gastroesophageal reflux can be done with a simple GERD remedy.
Imagine never having to purchase antacids to treat your acid reflux again. Imagine not having to taste your stomach acids eating away your esophagus. Imagine naturally healing GERD and never having to worry about GERD again.
Why Try a Natural Treatment?
Natural Remedies have been around for thousands of years! And just recently, some natural remedies have begun to get tested and researched to test their legitimacy. And guess what researchers found?
Some natural remedies were worthless and some were effective? In fact, some simple natural remedies are just as effective as their pharmaceutical counterpart. With this said, if you can find a natural treatment that is research-based, you might find a simple and affordable way to treat your ailment with no drugs!
In the case of GERD, acid reflux remedies which work to heal the esophagus and sphincter have been shown to be the most effective.
Four GERD Natural Remedies You Might Want to Try
1. Avoid Crunchy Foods- Crunchy foods contribute to your acid reflux because they scratch the esophagus (tube that transports food to stomach) and sphincter (muscle flap that keeps stomach acid in the stomach). By eating these foods, you literally cause more flare-ups.
To begin your natural treatment, eat soft foods for 2 days to allow your esophagus and sphincter to heal. You eventually will be able to eat what you want but you initially want to give both of these systems a time to heal.
2. A Red Apple? Though you might be saying that this GERD remedy is too simple, it might be that easy! My dad literally owes his life to a red apple. Though it is NOT realistic to carry an apple wherever you go, we do recommend you carry at least a slice of apple for an emergency. Plastic bags are helpful!
3. Honey! This remedy has even been found in the Egyptian pyramids! And as the Egyptians figured out some of the most complicated math problems; they also discovered a natural remedy for acid reflux! Honey has been shown to have natural, miraculous healing powers which will help your esophagus and sphincter heal. Take 1 teaspoons daily during a flare-up.
Why does honey work? Honey has been shown to fight bacteria, block infection, combat inflammation, reduce pain, and improve circulation. It also stimulates the regrowth of tissue which will heal the esophagus and sphincter.
4. Milk and Seven-Up! Sounds kind of gross but has been shown to work! This remedy is simply a half and half of milk and seven-up. Give this remedy a try and see if it works for you.
Throw Away the Antacids!
This is only the tip of the iceberg!
Have you ever wondered why over-the-counter treatments such as Prilosec, Zantac, Pepsid AC, and Tegamet should not be taken for more than 14 days? Are you nervous that surgery is in your near future? Are you interested in trying to heal GERD naturally before surgery?
If so, please consider a 100% guaranteed Acid Reflux Natural Remedy that is step by step and is doctor approved. Our researchers have compiled a 40

Hair Loss Remedies - Simple Ayurvedic Treatments
Ayurvedic Medicine:
Hair loss is one of the most embarrassing problem facing most men and women in the world today. It is a common notion that hair loss occurs normally with advancing age, and nothing can be done about that. But that is a wrong belief. There are several effective ways in which hair loss and other hair related problems can be nipped in the bud. The following are some of the most effective home remedies in which this can be achieved.
Treatment with Simple Home Remedies
Remedy 1
This remedy works if your hair are continuously breaking off and falling. Extract the juice of a single lemon. Finely grind the powder of the root of a banyan tree and mix thoroughly in the lemon juice. Wash your hair with this solution. When done, dry your hair with a drier and then apply more than the normal amount of coconut oil on the scalp. Do this regularly. Within a few days you will find the quality of your hair improving.
Remedy 2
Prepare the fine powder of the amalaki (Indian Gooseberry) and soak it in water. Keep this overnight. In the morning, squash the powder in the water and let it exude thoroughly into the water. You will get a mild pasty consistency. Then squeeze the juice of a lemon or two. Use this vitamin C rich solution to wash your hair. The solution will foam. Work your hands into the roots of the hair till the foam is profuse. After fifteen minutes of this treatment, you can wash it off. This kind of treatment will not only treat hair loss, but it will also make the hair blacker, denser, longer and softer. A month of this treatment on a daily basis will show you the positive results.
Remedy 3
Boil some udad daal (lentils) in water. When boiled enough, let them cool. Then mash the daal and apply it vigorously on the hair, working at the roots. This treatment provides proteins to your hair, which is very necessary for their proper growth. Within a few days of this continuous treatment, your hair loss problems will begin to dwindle.
Remedy 4
This treatment works for alopecia, i.e. baldness or thinness of hair. Take a dry ripe amalaki fruit and grind it to a powder. Put this powder in coconut oil or chameli (Jasminum grandiflorum, Spanish Jasmine) oil. Use this oil to massage the scalp. Then put this solution in water and wash the hair thoroughly. Continue this for a month to observe benefits. You must also chew on the dry amalaki fruit several times a day.
Remedy 5
If your hair is thinning out, then the following remedy can help. Prepare a mixture of the powders of the seeds, leaves and peel of a pomegranate. Add this to mustard oil. Keep it on a flame. The powders will begin to get cooked. When the powders seem cooked enough, then strain the oil through a cloth and collect the filtrate in a bottle. Cork this bottle. Apply this oil twice or thrice on the scalp in a day. Within a few days, hair loss will stop and new hair will begin growing.
Remedy 6
Grind some green coriander and extract the juices from it. Use these juices to massage onto the scalp. This will make your hair soft and black and stop hair loss. This remedy is simple but it is so effective that it can even make hair grow back on the scalp. Hence it is looked upon as a treatment for alopecia.
Remedy 7
This is not a specific remedy, but it is a general method to care for your hair to stop hair loss in the future. Collect one tablespoon of powder of shikakai (Acacia concinna, acacia) and ritha (Sapindus mukorossi, soapnut). Add this powder to half pint of water and boil it. When the boiling has taken place properly, then cool it, strain it, and use the filtrate as you would use a regular shampoo. This is the best natural shampoo in the world, and perhaps the world's oldest pH balanced shampoo. Daily using this shampoo will keep all hair loss problems at bay.
Treatment with Special Ayurvedic Methods
Bhringaraja is the drug of choice for hair problems. It is either taken orally or is used for massaging the scalp on a daily basis in the form of Maha Bhringaraja taila or Nilibhringadi taila. The general mode of using it is to massage on the scalp thoroughly and then to have a bath one hour later. But it must be remembered that Bhringaraja will first remove the weak hair from the scalp. Hence it may appear that the hair is thinning more in the beginning. This is temporary though; the new hair that will grow will be healthier and stronger.
Hair loss (and in fact, all problems relating to hair) are kapha problems. They happen when the kapha dosha is vitiated. Hence, kapha must not be allowed to accumulate in the body. This happens when there is a common cold. For this reason, common colds must be treated quickly. The same can be said about sinusitis.

Guggul - Herbal Remedies to Lower Cholesterol
Herbal Remedies:
General Description
The guggul tree (sometimes spelt as 'guggulu') is an indigenous Indian tree which found abundantly in the temperate climates of north India. It is a small shrub, not more than 4 meters in height. It has a thin bark with thorny branches and trifoliate leaves. It has red or pink flowers with four petals each.
The gum of the guggul tree is used extensively in Ayurvedic medicine. This gum is a yellowing resinous substance that is obtained from the stem of the guggul plant. The guggul plant is very well established in Ayurveda. Even in Sushruta Samhita, one of the most detailed works on Ayurvedic medicine, the virtues of the guggul in the treatment of obesity and rheumatism are recorded. Guggul is commercially available for the treatment of cholesterol and triglyceride deposits in the body. Western research has proven that guggulsterone, a chemical available in the guggul gum is the main beneficial factor in lowering cholesterol. Guggulipid, an extract of the guggul gum is also effective in lowering blood cholesterol.
The guggul is famous in the west with the name mukul myrrh tree. Biologically, it is named Commiphora wightii or Commiphora mukul. In Ayurveda, guggul is rarely taken in its pure form. Whenever it is prescribed for direct oral medication, the guggul needs to be purified. This method of purifying the guggul herb is known as the shodhana. Shodhana is done by boiling the herb in either cow's milk or its urine. This makes the drug more acceptable to the human body, but it reduces its volatile oil content and hence makes the drug a little less effective in therapeutic terms.
Properties
Guggul is known to have the following properties:-
(i) Guggul disintegrates the cholesterol accumulated in the body. Hence it is used in the treatment of various cardiovascular problems.
(ii) Guggul flushes out the toxins from the body and promotes easy digestion of foods. It has a mild laxative effect.
(iii) Guggul is known to be a liver stimulator.
(iv) Guggul purifies the blood.
(v) Guggul has a treating effect on the nervous system.
Uses
(i) Cervical Spondylosis
Cervical spondylosis is a special type of arthritis which affects the cervical vertebrae, i.e. the vertebrae of the neck region. For the treatment of this disease, guggul is by far the best remedy. It is used in the form of its preparation Simhanada Guggul. The dosage prescribed for the patients is two to four tablets twice a day, followed by a glass of hot water or milk. Due to its laxative effect, it also removes the ama, i.e. the toxic buildup of waste materials in the body. If the bowels move in a regular fashion, the pains of spondylosis are very much reduced. In fact it is only after treating constipation first that any medication for the spondylosis would work.
(ii) Constipation
Guggul is a laxative. It facilitates the movement of the bowels and keeps the digestive system clean.
(iii) Obesity
Guggul is used primarily in the treatment of obesity. It is used in a very unconventional way. The gum resin of the guggul is used to make incense sticks. These are lighted and the fumes are inhaled. Guggul can also be given internally for obese people. Both Navaka Guggul and Triphala Guggul are effective in the treatment of obesity.
(iv) Rheumatism
Yogaraj Guggul is extensively used in the treatment of rheumatism. Two to four tablets twice a day need to be taken. The dose must be followed by a glass of hot water or milk.
(v) Sciatica
Guggul is very effective in treating problems related to the nervous system. It is given to the patient of sciatica in the form of Yogaraja Guggul, of which guggul is the main ingredient. The dosage is two tablets four times a day along with warm milk or water.
Special Ayurvedic Preparations
(i) Guggul Tiktaka ghrita
Guggul Tiktata ghrita is elaborately prepared by boiling guggul in a special kind of butter.
(ii) Navaka Guggul
Navaka Guggul is a combination of guggul with other important herbs. It is generally used in weight loss.
(iii) Simhanada Guggul
Simhanada Guggul is a preparation with guggul with the main ingredient which is used as treatment for cervical spondylosis.
(iv) Triphala Guggul
Triphala Guggul is a compound extract (of triphala) to which guggul is added.
(v) Yogaraja Guggul
Yogaraja Guggul is a very special preparation with guggul as the main ingredient. It is a mixture of about twenty powder extracts, among which guggul is the chief ingredient. It is used as a carminative, for lowering cholesterol and as an antipyretic.
Apart from these, there are many other guggul preparations being widely used such as Gokshuradi Guggul, Salai Guggul, Amrutadi Guggul, Kaishora Guggul, Kanchanara Guggul, Trayodashanga Guggul and Maha Yogaraja Guggul.
Precautions
The use of guggul must always be done under the supervision of an Ayurvedic physician. Excess of guggul almost always causes a rash on the body. But there are other more serious problems associated with an over-intake of guggul. For one, guggul interferes with the liver functions. Hence people with liver conditions must not use guggul. Guggul is used in the treatment of digestive problems. But an excess of guggul can worsen the conditions. People having constant problems such as diarrhea and inflammatory bowel disorder must avoid taking guggul.

This is however premature wrinkles and aging - a problem which can definitely be controlled with a little acre taken. Brushing off synthetic medicines, these days more and more people are relying on home remedies for problems to get permanently cured. Following are some of the tips which can be used to prevent wrinkles and enhance the skin tone and health.
1. Avoid Sun Tan: First and foremost, it is very important to protect yourself and your skin from sun. The skin gets affected a lot as a result of sun tans; it leads to fast damaging and aging of skin. Medically it has been proved that sun rays directly upon the skin results in skin cancer.
2. Vitamin E Pack: Break 3 vitamin E capsules and put them in a small bowl. Two teaspoons plain yogurt, half a teaspoon of lemon juice and honey needs to be added. This mixture needs to be applied over the face, left over for 10 minutes and rinsed off with plain water. This acts as an anti-wrinkle pack and nourishes the skin well.
3. Healthy Diet: Intake of healthy and nutritious diet is of utmost important. Leafy green vegetables and bright colored fruit need to be included in the diet for maximum free radical elimination. It has been medically proved that lack of free radicals is the direct cause of wrinkles on skin.
4. Facial massage: Massage enhances the blood circulation and also results in the tightening of muscles and the underlying tissues. This reduces the fleshiness of the skin and prevents from having wrinkles. Places where wrinkles have already set in can be massaged with coconut oil at night.
5. Avoid smoking: Premature face lines and wrinkles are mainly the results of smoking. It hinders natural blood circulation and gives rise to several internal problems. Once the habit of smoking is avoided, the premature wrinkles will be found to disappear.
6. Try bananas: Bananas are the best for anti-wrinkle treatments. One fourth of a banana mashed and applied over the face work wonders. After 10-15 minutes it needs to be rinsed off with warm water.
7. Sleep on your back: As a result of lying upside down or side ways. Wrinkles may be formed. So it is highly recommended to lie down straight and on your back. This type of sleeping eliminates the problem of wrinkle formation.
8. Get a humidifier: Things like room heaters and air coolers impart a drying effect on the skin by absorbing the moisture. This results in fast formation of wrinkles. So it is best to a humidifier. It helps to keep the surrounding air moist and therefore has a good effect on the skin.

Natural Remedies for Stroke
Natural Remedies:
STROKE
Carrots have been found very valuable in stroke. A recent Harvard study has shown that eating carrots five times a week or more can reduce the risk of stroke drastically by two-thirds, compared with eating carrots only once a month or less. This conclusion was reached after observing nearly 90,000 women nurses for eight years.
Spinach is another vegetable found valuable in the prevention and treatment of stroke. The protection seems to come partly from beta carotene in carrots and spinach. A previous Harvard study found that eating the extra beta carotene in about one and a half carrots, which equals 200 g of mashed sweet potatoes or 170 g spinach (weighed raw and then cooked) every day saved 40 per cent off stroke rates. The drop was evident in those who ate 15-20 mg of beta carotene daily compared to those who ate only 6 mg. The antistroke activity in carrots, spinach and other carotene-rich vegetables seems to emanate from their antioxidant properties.
Another new research study has shown that lots of beta carotene and other Vitamin A in the blood stream can prevent death in case stroke occurs. This conclusion has been reached by Belgian researchers at the University of Brussels, who analysed the blood of 80 patients within 24 hours after they had suffered strokes. When the brain is deprived of oxygen, as in a stroke, cells begin to malfunction, leading to a series of events culminating in oxidative damage to nerve cells, but if there is lot of Vitamin A in the blood, it appears to interfere at many different stages of events, reducing brain damage and chances of death.
Other foods rich in beta carotene, besides carrots, are dark green leafy vegetables and orange colored vegetables and fruits such as spinach, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, oranges, papayas, mangoes and melon.
Potassium is another potent antidote against strokes. Eating just one extra serving of a potassium-rich food every day, may reduce the risk of stroke by 40 per cent. Researchers have discovered this by analyzing the diets of a group of 859 men and women over the age 50 years, living in Southern California.
It was remarkable that none of the persons who took substantial quantities of potassium died of a stroke, but those who regularly consumed very little potassium had much higher fatal stroke rates than all the others. Among those who took least potassium, stroke deaths shot up 2.6 times in men and 4.8 times in women. Further, the more potassium-rich foods the subjects ate, generally the fewer strokes they had. The researchers concluded that with every extra daily 400 mg of potassium in food, the odds of a fatal stroke dropped by 40 per cent. This critical margin of 400 mg of potassium is so modest that one can obtain it in a single piece of most fruits and vegetables and a glass of milk.
Fresh air and outdoor exercise, as far as possible, correct diet along the lines outlined above, and clean wholesome living will prevent occurence of further strokes.

Acidity - Causes and Home Remedies
Home Remedies:
Acidity
As a part of human body functioning, the stomach secretes the acid that aids in the breakdown of food during digestion. But when the gastric glands of the stomach produce excessive amounts of such acids, it leads to a health condition known as acidity.
Causes of Acidity
In the human body stomach, intestines, and digestive glands secrete hydrochloric acid and various enzymes, including pepsin that break down and digest food. The stomach must also be protected from the same acid and enzymes, or it too can be attacked by the gastric juices. The acid may enter the lower part of the Oesophagus (Gastro-Oesophageal Reflux), due to some weakness in the normal sphincter mechanism that prevents such reflux.
The common cause of acidity in the human body are :-

Home Remedies For Acne - Possible Side Effects
Home Remedies:
Home remedies for acne are varied. You can choose from a tangerine juice treatment, cabbage mask, orange tonic or a watermelon juice treatment. Even tomato, almonds, mint juice, apple tonic, amaranth juice and cucumber lotion are potent home remedies for acne.
This sea of counter medications can benefit you when used wisely. Many resort to home remedies as an extension of the parlour treatments, expensive medicines by the dermatologists or cosmetics claiming to work miracles. However, home remedies can offer a permanent solution to your skin problems.
Anything which is done without proper knowledge of its functioning is bound to hamper your condition. The first requisite of the home remedies for acne is the knowledge of your skin type. There are basically four skin types. The oily, dry, normal and the combination skin are the categories of skin divisions without the knowledge of; there is a possible chance of skin damage. The kind of treatment that is suited for the oily skin may not be conditioned for a dry skin type. Hence, possible side affects to home remedies for acne are aggravated because of lack of knowledge.
Side affects are caused chiefly due to intolerance to a particular ingredient in the medication. Often, in a haste to improve one's skin conditions, people use constituents without checking whether or not they are tolerant to the particular thing. To prevent the possible side affects, learn about the things that make your concoction. This will keep you from hassles in the near future. However, if the side affects are mild, ensure counter-medications that may help your condition. Also, not all acne scars can be treated using home treatment.
Most acne scars are of a depressed type and spreads deeper into the skin cells. Home remedies may help lighten the scars, but, once the acne heals a skin layer is formed over the depression and the scar becomes permanent. There maybe deep scars called ice pick scars, oval shaped boxcar scars and rolling scars. The permanent solution to scars caused by acne is dependent on the collagen supply to the skin. Check to see whether your home remedies for acne helps fill collagen or not.
Vitamin C helps to boost collagen. If the home remedies for acne are not collagen fillers, they will not help much. A lot is made out of home remedies, but when not used wisely and carefully, you may end up spending a lot of money and effort plus hassles in the form of unwanted side affects.

These are found mainly on the scalp which also happens to find its way on your neck and face. The six shaft like legs grasps the hair for better movement. Head lice reflect lack of hygiene and sanitation but many a times that is not the case. Children are most common hosts for these parasites due to the daily interaction with number of children. A simple head-to-head contact with the infested person can open the Pandora's Box.
Other ways and means to transfer this condition is by used combs, sharing towels, hats similar products related to your hair. Lice could not survive for more than 24-hours without feeding. Their main source of energy is by sucking blood from the host's body. You can find three forms of lice- the egg also known as nit, the nymph and the adult. The common symptom once infected by head lice is a tickling sensation felt in the hair as well as constant itching due to the bites. You can find different types of lice like head lice, body lice and pubic lice.
Self-Care Measures
You can use louse or nit combs which are of great helps in minimizing their population.
Always keep your hair well-groomed and clean by using the proper shampoo.
Washing your hair everyday and keeping it clean may just be one of the deterrents of warding off this problem.
Going bald or having short hair makes it easier to remove the lice.
Keep your surroundings clean.
If you start the treatment keep in mind to clean everything around simultaneously to prevent re-infestation.
Home Remedies for Lice
In your regular shampoo mix 3 tablespoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon tea tree oil and 1 teaspoon eucalyptus oil. Apply this solution and cover your head tightly with a plastic bag for half an hour and then rinse it off. This can be used as a remedy to fight off these invaders.
After washing your hair apply mayonnaise all over your scalp. Keep it overnight by covering it. Rinse it the next morning and remove the lice with the help of a lice comb. The lice would slide through your hair with ease.
Apply Vaseline freely on your scalp to suffocate and remove the lice. It may be tiring affair as Vaseline is not that easy to remove. Before washing you can apply corn flour to make the process easy.
Make a concoction by mixing 20 drops each of eucalyptus essential oil and tea tree oil, 10 drops each of aniseed essential oil and lemon oil with 75ml olive oil. Apply this on your hair and leave it for an hour. Later, wash it to get positive results.

Boil remedies and Home treatment
Home Remedies:
A boil, also known as a furuncle, is an acute staphylococcal infection of a hair follicle. It begins as an tender red nodule and enlarges to a pustule. A painful nodule formed in the skin by inflammation enclosing a core. Also known as a furuncle if it has a single core, or a carbuncle if it has multiple cores.
Boils, especially those caused by MRSA, an antibiotic resistant bacteria, have become increasingly common over the past several years. These can occur in normal healthy people, and can start from almost any injury that opens the skin (including insect bites, etc.). Once this bacteria gets into the body, it can collonize and can cause recurrent boils/infections almost anywhere on the body.
Take a wash cloth and wet it with as hot of water as you can stand. Put this on the boil and repeat that process till you see it form a head. The hot water will draw all of the core and puss and infection to the surface. Then you take a razor blade and sterilize it with alcohol and dry it well. Then make a tiny cut in the center of the boil. Gently squeeze(this will be painful) until all the yucky white stuff comes out and only blood starts coming out. Pour peroxide all over it and then put a good coating of antibiotic ointment on it and a band aid. Keep it clean a couple of times a day with Peroxide and it will be gone in a few days.
Drink plenty of water, since the body will try to eliminate waste through the skin,if it is unable to get rid of it through other means. Boils can be treated by applying a home made cloth bandage dipped in warm salt water to the affected area. This will help the boil burst and drain more quickly.
Flax seed poultice. Flax seed should be mixed with a little boiling water over heat. Stir constantly, using a knife to blend. When thick enough to drop from a knife, remove from heat and stir well. Spread 1/4 inch thick between antiseptic gauze, Turn over edges of gauze and put on hot plate and cover with another hot plate then carry to patient, or cover and place on a hot water bottle until ready to use. Test before applying. and if too hot, cool a minute or two. Cover a small area first, then gradually the entire surface. A poultice should not remain on longer than one hour as it cools it becomes uncomfortable. After half an hour or so another hot poultice can be applied.
Epsom salts, in HOT water, as hot as you can stand it, without burning yourself. Then just use washcloths, as compresses. The salt will help to dry it up, and the heat will help to oen it up, so that the poison can seep out.
Take several aspirin talbets. Dissolve them in a tiny bit of warm to hot water make a paste and put it over and all around the boil - leave it on for at least a half an hour or more - do not cover it. You will be surprised how it pulls the skin and more applications, if necessary, will diminish the boil without infection.
